Snohomish residents - Recycle Day

The collection event took place on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the city shop located at 1801 First Street. Residents needed to provide a copy of their most recent utility bill as evidence that they are a current City of Snohomish solid waste customer. Residents disposing of electronic waste or refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners needed to pay by check.

Allied Waste will collect the following materials at no cost:
--scrap metal
--appliances
(excluding refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners)
--typical household waste
(normally collected at the curbside each week)
--furniture
--yard waste
--tires (maximum two per load, no rims)

Allied Waste will collect for a fee the following materials:
--refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners -- $30 each
--electronic waste (computers, televisions, monitors, fax machines, printers, etc) -- $30 each

Allied Waste is unable to collect the following items:
--hazardous waste
--liquid waste
--fluorescent tubes
