SR 9/SR 204 roundabout closed

LAKE STEVENS – All lanes near the new roundabout at the intersection of State Routes 9 and 204 will close for two nights of permanent striping Aug. 19-21 in Lake Stevens.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, until 8 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, and again from 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, all lanes of SR 9 and SR 204 near the new roundabout will close.

Closures

  • Both directions of SR 9 between Market Place and Davies Road.
  • Both directions of SR 204 between east of 91st Avenue Northeast and SR 9.

Detour route
People traveling through Lake Stevens on SR 9 or SR 204 should follow a signed detour around the closure using Lundeen Parkway and Market Place.

During the closures, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin installing permanent striping near the new roundabout. This work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.

In June, crews constructed two new multi-lane roundabouts along SR 9 in Lake Stevens. Along with two other smaller roundabouts built in earlier stages of the project, they will help improve mobility in this area of Lake Stevens.

Real-time travel information is available via the WSDOT mobile app, the WSDOT Travel Center Map, or by signing up for WSDOT’s email updates.
