Crimes Unit Recovers Guns, Drugs during Warrant

The Snohomish County North Property Crimes Unit recently recovered dozens of weapons, cash and drugs while serving a search warrant on an Arlington residence.

On the morning of April 25, detectives served a search warrant at the 29000 block of Scouten Loop Rd. A thorough search of the residence resulted in the recovery of 17 guns, $5200 cash, heroin, cocaine, meth, various prescription pills, and several items that had been reported stolen, including power tools and televisions taken in various burglaries.

Five people were arrested on charges of trafficking stolen property and possession with intent: a 52 year-old Arlington man, three 26 year-old Arlington men, and a 36 year-old Concrete man.

The North County Property Crimes Unit was launched early in 2015 as collaboration between the Sheriff’s Office and the police departments of Marysville, Lake Stevens, and Stillaguamish Tribe. The unit is comprised of property crime detectives from each agency, with support from the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Together with a crime analyst, they collaborate to track down and prosecute the most prolific thieves in the county. The unit focuses on crimes such as burglary, major theft, fraud, and trafficking in stolen property, as well as crimes that stem from these types of incidents. The unit operates out of the Marysville Police Department.
