Everett shooting investigated

EVERETT – Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating an overnight shooting in Everett.

Just before 9:30 p.m. last night, officers were dispatched to Wiggums Hollow Park (2808 10th St) on the report of neighbors hearing gunshots. Arriving officers did not find any victims but found shell casings on the ground. Shortly after the initial call, officers received reports of an adult male at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

The injured male was not cooperative with detectives and has known gang ties. The shooting is being investigated as a gang related incident.

At about 8:00 a.m. this morning, detectives were informed of a second injured male at the Skagit Valley Hospital with gunshot wounds. It is believed this male was leaving Wiggums Hollow Park last night when the shooting started. The male and his vehicle were struck but the extent of injuries is unknown. The involved vehicle has been impounded.

The Gang Response Unit, Major Crimes Unit and patrol officers continue to investigate.

No further information is available at this time.
