Deputies Search and Nab Stabbing Suspect

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching the area near the 4100 block of 156th St SW for a white male suspected of stabbing a 39 year-old man and 38 year-old woman at an apartment complex earlier this morning. One of the victims will be transported to Harborview and aid is on scene treating the other.

The following area is under containment and the public should avoid traveling through the area until containment is lifted: the intersection of 164th and 35th to the intersection of 164th and Hwy 99 to the intersection of 148th and Hwy 99 and the intersection of 35th and 148th. .

The incident was reported around 7:30 AM. The suspect, believed to be the boyfriend of the female victim, is reported to be 5’9” with a shaved head and last seen wearing a red and gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and wearing a backpack.

Anyone who sees the suspect should call 911 immediately.

UPDATE: Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies have the stabbing male suspect, age unknown at this time, in custody. He had boarded a bus and fled the area where the stabbing occurred and was picked up near the 5800 block of 188th St SW.

He is suspected of stabbing a 38 year-old man and 37 year-old woman at an apartment complex earlier this morning. Both victims are being sent to Providence Regional Medical Center. The incident will be investigated by the Major Crimes Unit.
