Vehicle collision turns into low angle rescue

At 3:09 am this morning, Fire District 7 was dispatched to a report of a single car motor vehicle collision at the 20500 block of Old Owen Road. When crews arrived they found one car into a power pole, but there was not a patient in or around the vehicle. The power pole was sheared off and the wires were across the roadway.

Neighbors who reported the collision said they saw a person walking off from the accident. The patient was found down a 100 foot embankment. Crews worked to stabilize the patient and safely bring him up the embankment.

The patient, a male in his 30’s, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

Snohomish County Sherriff Department will investigate the collision.
