Area Road Improvement Projects

The Mill Creek/Bothell area is experiencing rapid population growth. To meet traffic and pedestrian demands, Snohomish County Public Works is working on multiple road improvement projects in the unincorporated county area. In keeping the community aware of these projects and their current statuses, Public Works will be hosting an open house to discuss three potential road designs and project timelines.

The projects are:
Seattle Hill Road (35th Avenue SE to 132nd Street SE) – Construction to begin in April
35th Avenue SE Phase I (180th Street SE to 152nd Street SE) – Construction slated for 2018
156th Street SE (35th Avenue SE to west of Forest View Elementary School and Gateway Middle School) – Construction TBD

Open House: Mill Creek/Bothell Area Road Improvements

When: Thursday, February 23, 2017 – Stop by any time between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Where: Mill Creek Elementary School – Cafeteria
3400 148th St. SE, Mill Creek, WA 98012

What: Residents of the area, commuters, and families of nearby schools are invited to discuss the three projects. Staff will be available to answer questions about the Seattle Hill Road construction, review the proposed road improvements to the section of 35th Avenue SE, and gather feedback on potential designs for the 156th Street SE project.

The Seattle Hill Road and 35th Avenue SE projects include widening the roadways to include a center turn lane, adding bike lanes, and creating continuous sidewalks. The 156th Street SE project is in the early stages of design. Additional information about the projects are available on their project webpages (linked above).
