Pursuit, Collision on Cathcart Way

SNOHOMISH, WASH. – Two men were arrested this morning following a pursuit and one car collision that ended at the 8500 block of Cathcart Way around 2:30 a.m. The incident started when a Sheriff’s deputy noticed a vehicle speeding on 128th St SW. When the deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver took off at a high rate of speed, traveling eastbound on 128th St SW (which turns into Cathcart Way). The driver ran two red lights and then the vehicle left the roadway, striking a pole, a fence, and several trees.

A 24 year-old female passenger in the vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported from the scene by aid car. The driver of the vehicle, a 25 year-old Everett man, was arrested and booked for 1st degree vehicular assault, attempting to elude, and possession of a stolen vehicle. Several “shaved” keys (often used for vehicle theft) were recovered from the driver and a gun was recovered at the scene. An 18 year-old male passenger, also from Everett, was booked on outstanding warrants, which include unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office collision investigation unit is investigating the cause and manner of the collision.
