South Everett Shooting

EVERETT, WASH. – Sheriff’s Office deputies are seeking information about a suspect who shot at a store clerk yesterday around 8:30 p.m. at 11801 Hwy 99.

The suspect, described only as a light-skinned black male, entered the store wearing a military-style balaclava over his face. The clerk asked the suspect to remove his mask. When the suspect refused to remove his mask, the clerk went to call 911, at which point the suspect fired a shot at the clerk.

A male customer standing near the suspect attempted to confront the suspect right before the shot was fired. No one was injured in the incident and the suspect fled the store on foot after stealing a beer. Police and K9 units tracked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Witnesses at a nearby hardware store claimed they saw the suspect in the parking lot fire shots into the air.

No further description of the suspect or any associated vehicle are available at this time. It is also unknown whether the suspect was involved in other robberies and/or assaults in the area later that night.

Anyone who may have been in the area or has any information about the suspect or crime is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office anonymous tipline at 425-388-3845.
