Virtual Chat with NASA Engineer

Everett, Washington – Imagine Children’s Museum and NASA present a virtual chat with an Orion spacecraft engineer on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Discovery Lab at Imagine Children’s Museum.

The virtual chat will be with Rick Crockford of Lockheed Martin. Via computer Mr. Crockford will give a brief presentation on the Orion spacecraft and then open the floor to audience questions. Lockheed Martin holds the prime contract for the Orion Spacecraft, which will carry humans into space farther than they’ve ever gone before.

This opportunity was made possible through Imagine Children’s Museum’s participation in the NASA Museum Alliance. The Museum Alliance connects museums interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to NASA-related resources and opportunities.

“The STEM field is so important in today’s world and is a huge part of our local economy. We hope that opportunities like this will spark an interest in science and engineering in our young visitors,” said Nancy Johnson, Executive Director of Imagine Children’s Museum.

The NASA Virtual Chat is free with Museum admission. General admission is $10.00. Children 12 months and under are free. Please note that virtual chat may be canceled or rescheduled based on the needs of NASA or Imagine Children’s Museum.
