Everett, Washington – Imagine Children's Museum presents Sandtastic!, a free outdoor community event on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Fun in the sun starts at 10:00 a.m. at Imagine Children's Museum's outdoor event, Sandtastic! The street in front of the Museum and a portion of the Museum's parking lot will be home to this summer community event.

Outdoor activities include a sand play area where you're likely to find professional sand sculptor, Jim Butler, creating unforgettable designs made with specialty sand brought in by the truckload just for this occasion. Other special guests include Insane Chastain Balloons, 4-D Caricature Artists, Comedian and Juggler Eric Haines, and the Llama Lady and Friends.

There will be a rock-climbing wall, tasty treats available for purchase, fantastic summer games and activities, and more.

All outdoor Sandtastic! activities are free to the public. Anyone staying in an Everett hotel or motel will also have free admission to the Museum for the whole family. Proof of stay in the form of a hotel/motel room key or receipt for the nights of either August 15th, 16th or 17th will be required at the door for free entry on the 17th only. Regular $9.50 Museum admission applies to all others for indoor activities. Museum hours for indoor activities are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sandtastic! is funded in part by the City of Everett Hotel/Motel Tax Fund.
