Scott Peacock Says Goodbye

 Letter to Parents:

It is with a mixture of sadness and excitement that I write this letter to let you know of my departure from Centennial Middle School at the end of this month.

In a fairly rapid turn of events, I was recently named Executive Director of Teaching and Learning Services for Snohomish School District, replacing Pam Hopkins, who is retiring after three highly productive years with our district.  Though I am eager to support the work of teachers and principals across our district in my new capacity, I will sorely miss the students and parents so central to life at Centennial.  The past nine years have been the best of my professional career in large part due to you and your children.

Fortunately, we have identified a retired, longtime principal from Marysville named Peter Lundberg who will serve Centennial wonderfully as interim principal for the next year.  I know he is prepared to bring our construction project to completion and to support our staff in its ongoing work.  He will serve everyone well.

I wish you and your children the best.  I thank you for your support over the years.   It will be a pleasure to continue to work with you through our districts Teaching and Learning Services Department.

Sincerely,

Scott Peacock
Principal
